The 60th Anniversary edition is the headliner for this model year. Engines That Keep the Bronco’s Character

Ford isn’t changing what’s under the hood for 2026. The base engine remains a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder. On regular gas, it puts out 275 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. Fill it with premium fuel, and those numbers rise to 300 horsepower and 325 lb-ft, giving it an edge in performance without sacrificing too much efficiency.

Fuel economy stays about the same, with EPA estimates of 16–20 mpg city and 17–21 mpg highway. A 10-speed automatic transmission comes standard, but buyers still have the rare choice of a seven-speed manual when paired with the 2.3-liter—a nod to enthusiasts who want more control. Four-wheel drive continues to be standard equipment across the board.

The optional 2.7-liter V6 will also carry over. It pairs with the 10-speed automatic and delivers more power than the four-cylinder, though fuel economy doesn’t improve much. Ratings should stay around 17–18 mpg in the city and 17–20 mpg on the highway.

Bronco Cabin Tech and Everyday Usability

Step inside, and the Bronco keeps the same adventurous but practical cabin setup. A 12-inch infotainment touchscreen is front and center on the dash and powered by Ford’s Sync 4 software with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and over-the-air update capability. Higher trims also offer built-in navigation.

When it comes to audio, the base seven-speaker system is adequate, but most trims offer upgraded sound systems that give drivers more options for long trips or trail rides.
