The Ford Bronco has always been an impressive vehicle for its off-road and all-terrain capabilities. Every new edition of the Bronco improves on the previous, and so far, 2023 is set to follow that trend. From technology to comfort, the 2023 Ford Bronco should not only impress but also inspire us all to venture out for a little more fun and excitement. The Bronco Raptor in particular is shaping up as something to keep an eye on. Here’s a little of what we know and are hoping to see for the 2023 Bronco.
What We Can Expect
The Ford Bronco has seen success in recent years with the retro style that the Bronco has brought back. So much success actually that it’s been hard to get your hands on one. With the new 2023 Bronco, we are excited to see what Ford adds to keep the momentum going. Not many big changes are expected to be seen overall, other than the addition of the Bronco Raptor trim and the special racing Bronco DR. However, with technological advancements, and a hint at more color options being available, we are anxiously awaiting more information.
Engine
From the previews Ford has shown, the 2023 Bronco will come standard with a 300 horsepower 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and automatic transmission. Additionally, it is predicted to have an available 310 horsepower 2.7-liter V6 EcoBoost engine. The newly announced Bronco Raptor may be equipped with a 418 horsepower 3.0-liter twin turbo V-6 to enable it to be truly powerful for off-road adventures.
The Raptor
The Bronco Raptor is the biggest news that has come out so far. Following in the footsteps of the F-150 Raptor, the Bronco Raptor is expected to be just as capable and fun. In addition to the more powerful engine, it will also have a special long-travel suspension with internal bypass dampers similar to the F-150 Raptor. With rough terrain in mind, it has 37-inch tires, 13.1 inches of ground clearance, and is masterfully created to be perfect for off-roading. However, the off-road features don’t take away from the interior comfort and design. With the options to get leather-trimmed seats and other fun goodies, it will be as comfortable inside as it is aggressive outside. Technologically, it is also expected to have options to see a 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, and even a 10-speaker sound system by Bang and Olufsen.
The Bronco DR
Ford has recently announced the limited-edition Bronco DR. While this new Bronco certainly looks amazing, it is not going to be a typical model. The Bronco DR is a limited-production desert racing SUV which is expected to see price ranges in the mid-$200,000 range. However, this distinctive production not only will be iconic in motorsport events, but also proves again how Ford can grow with innovation and craftsmanship. We suspect that some of the technology developed for this special edition may work its way into future Broncos as well.
Features Expected in the 2023 Ford Bronco
One thing we do know for sure is that Ford is going to ensure the 2023 Bronco is versatile enough for having fun both on-road and off. Ford also is known for safety and has a suite of Ford Co-Pilot360 driver assist technologies which we can expect will appear in the Bronco. These include things such as pre-collision assist, blind spot information system (BLIS) with cross-traffic alert, and more. While these features won’t take the place of good driving, they will aid the driver in keeping everyone safe.
Should We Preorder?
Anyone who enjoys off-roading adventures will love the 2023 Ford Bronco. As its predecessors, this capable SUV will be able to crawl over rocks, crash through dunes, and traverse muddy fields with ease. It has high ground clearance and options to remove the roof, body panels, and doors if necessary, so you can customize your Bronco to be what you want it to be. The exterior mirrors are mounted on the windshield specifically so you can still use them when the sides are taken off. Come in and visit us at Cogswell Motors for more information about when pre-orders are available and what you can hope to see with the new 2023 Ford Bronco.
