The 2025 Ford Super Duty doesn’t bring a big redesign, but it’s still as capable as ever—with key trim updates, big towing numbers, and work-ready features that get the job done. Let’s take a look at the new features in 2025 Super Duty trims!
Let’s clear this up: a lot of folks thought 2025 would bring another major refresh like we saw before, but Ford had other plans. The updates this year are mostly on specific trims.
The XL trim now gets an available trailer brake controller, and Ford has added an 8-foot bed option to the XL and XLT Super Cab SRW models. The 6.8-liter gas V8 engine, previously reserved for other trims, is now available in the Lariat and XLT.
If you’re looking at the King Ranch or Platinum models, the 2-kW Pro Power Onboard system is now optional and super handy for powering tools or gadgets on the jobsite. The King Ranch also now offers the Onboard Scales and Smart Hitch features, making towing and hauling a bit more user-friendly.
And with the Limited trim officially retired, the Platinum steps up with two flavors: the regular Platinum, featuring a Black Onyx interior with Platinum Blue accents and dark exterior styling; and the new Platinum Plus package, which adds chrome accents and leather upholstery for a little extra flash.
As far as paint colors go, Ford added Avalanche and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat to keep the exterior options fresh.
No matter how you configure your Super Duty—F-250, F-350, or F-450—you’ll find enough engine and body style combinations to build the perfect setup for your needs. All versions offer Regular Cab, SuperCab, and Crew Cab options, plus either a 6 ¾-foot or 8-foot bed.
Here’s the breakdown of available engines:
If towing is a big deal for you, here’s how capacity stacks up by weight class:
You might think of the Super Duty as just a rugged, no-frills workhorse, you may be surprised. Materials vary by trim, but upper models offer upscale touches like woodgrain accents and leather upholstery with heated and ventilated multi-contour seats.
Lower trims come with an 8-inch touchscreen that runs Ford’s SYNC 4 system, while higher trims upgrade you to a larger 12-inch display. And if audio quality matters to you, the 14-speaker premium sound system on higher trims brings serious punch.
With rugged performance, plush touches, and options like Pro Power Onboard and the Platinum Plus package, there’s a trim in the Super Duty lineup for every job and every driver.
